Marshfield Officers Arrest Man After Standoff

On Sunday, March 6th, around 5:18pm, Marshfield police officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 2200 block of S Maple Ave.
A 25 year old male was reported to be intoxicated and creating a disturbance at a residence. The male was reported to have held a knife to the throat of another male inside the residence. The male victim was able to leave the residence and contacted the department.
Officers maintained a perimeter and attempted contact with the male throughout the evening which was unsuccessful. Yesterday, Monday, March 7th, around 8:52am the male exited the residence and was arrested without further incident.
The male was transported to Wood County Jail and charges of recklessly endangering safety, bail jumping, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with officer’s attempt to take person into custody were requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
