(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The education foundation of the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin has presented another round of grants to three non-profit organizations that have unique ideas in educating consumers about the importance of the dairy industry.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, one of the groups selected was Farm Technology Days, Wisconsin. The grant was awarded for educational signage, training materials, cordless microphones for tours, and dairy product promotional brochure to educate local consumers about what happens on a dairy farm.
"We are excited to provide funding to programs that are making a difference in dairy communities across the country," said PDPF Board Chair Brian Forrest. "Dairy's Foundation is made possible by generous support by dairy producers and businesses who understand the critical importance of continuing education for dairy producers, nurturing the next generation of dairy leaders and strengthening the bond with consumers and communities."
Meanwhile, the next grant application period has already begun with requests due by June 1. Organizations may apply for grants of up to $5,000. For grant criteria and an application package, visit www.dairyfoundation.org
