Coronavirus Numbers for December 7th

-For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,325 positive cases.  Of those, 310 are currently active and 167 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 44 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 4,680 positive cases.  Wood has had 32 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 412,177 positive cases (an increase of 2,791 over the previous day) and 3,719 deaths, an increase of 17 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 18,126, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 5,185 positive, Eau Claire has seen 8,149 positive, Jackson has seen 1,953 positive, Marathon has seen 10,283 positive and Taylor has seen 1,313 positive.

Marathon has had 133 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 62 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 55 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 11 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 5 people die from the virus.
