According to Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer, they received a call of a shed fire around 2:21pm at W5950 County Road G in the Township of Weston. When they arrived, they found a lawnmower on fire.
They believed that there was a short out in the battery. The lawnmower was a complete loss and the fire was starting to get into the walls of the shed. The Department was able to extinguish the fire quickly.
There was some structure damage to the shed. They were on scene for 40 minutes and had no injuries on their part. They received mutual aid from the Neillsville Ambulance Service and the Greenwood Fire Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Department were on standby.
