After months of practice, a cast of Neillsville High School students are ready to ?break a leg? with their presentation of ?Guys and Dolls? this weekend and next.
The four leads in the production (Greg Marty, Jenny Spiegel, Jodi Glaze and Nathan Kuhn) were our guests on Viewpoint Wednesday morning.
Marty and Glaze play high-roller Nathan Detroit and fianc?e of 14 years Miss Adelaide. Kuhn and Spiegel play Sky Masterson and Sarah Brown, respectively.
Kuhn and the others sang the praises of director Wendell Attoe and Choreographer Lorna Vasquez ? and all the other volunteers that make the musical possible.
?We started (practicing) around January 15th. We usually practice four nights a week and the practices last between 2 hours and 3 ? hours,? Kuhn says. ?Mr. Attoe is just an amazing guy. He throws everything into it and spends hours and hours ? when we think we spend a lot of time there, he?s there twice as much as we are.?
?Lorna Vasquez does choreography and helps with costuming, Kris Herbrand helps make the costumes. All the behind the scenes people ? if we didn?t have those people, it wouldn?t work,? Kuhn says.
You?ll have five chances to catch the Neillsville High School production of ?Guys and Dolls? beginning this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the auditorium. For a complete list of showtimes, check out our calendar page.
