Wisconsin's January All Milk Price

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The Wisconsin all milk price for January was $23.40 per hundredweight, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, that was $1.80 above last month's price and $5.90 more than the previous January. It was also the highest all milk price since November 2014 when it reached $24.40.
The U.S. all milk price for January was $24.20 per cwt. which was 80-cents higher than Wisconsin's price and $2.40 more than last month's U.S. price. All the 24 major milk producing states had a higher price when compared with December.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $1.99 per pound on February 28, while barrels were $1.93 per pound. The CME butter price was $2.63 per pound.
For the week ending February 19, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $1.88 per pound, and 500-pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $1.87 per pound. The U.S. butter price was $2.68 per pound.
