Wisconsin's Commodity Prices for January

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The average price received by farmers for corn during January in Wisconsin was $5.39 per bushel.

According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, that's according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, which stated that was six-cents more than December's price and $1.27 above January 2021.

Soybeans were 10-cents higher for the month at $12.50 per bushel, which was also $1.70 above the January 2021 price. Oat prices were $5.38, 23-cents above December and $1.31 over the same time in 2021.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $155.00 per ton in January. This was $9.00 below the December price, but $2.00 above last January. Alfalfa hay sold for $160.00, which was $11.00 below the previous month and $1.00 below 2021.

The average price received for other hay was $134.00 per ton. A $2.00 decrease for the month, but $19.00 higher for the year.
