Loyal Students Grow Fresh Veggies Thanks to Clark County Eat Right, Be Fit Coalition

Loyal teacher Mrs. Fitzl and some pretty impressive 4th graders recently grew lettuce and, currently, are learning to grow strawberries right in the classroom as part of Flex Farms.
Installing Flex Farms at Clark County schools helps to supplement school lunch programs and encourages youth to become better acquainted with healthy, nutrient-rich foods.
Children as young as elementary school are involved in planting, maintaining, harvesting, and consuming their own produce. Loyal was lucky to receive funding as an initiative to the Clark County Eat Right Be Fit Coalition.
