It's National FFA Week
Monday, February 21st, 2022 -- 10:00 AM
(Wisconsin Ag Connection) It's National FFA Week, which means agriculture students throughout the state will be busy promoting their favorite organization in a variety of ways.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the celebration is held annually during the same week as George Washington's birthday, who himself was a life-long farmer and leader of our nation.
State FFA President Ben Styer says the Wisconsin FFA will be holding daily social media contests to celebrate their group, as well as attending various local chapter events, interviewing with the media and engaging with local communities to thank them for their support of Wisconsin agriculture.
Meanwhile, many Culver's restaurants will also be holding promotions, as well as an essay contest that members can participate in for a chance to earn cash prizes.
Nationally, FFA reaches out to all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Wisconsin has over 21,000 members from nearly 250 chapters in high schools across the state.
