Tommy Thompson Still Deciding on Possible Run for Governor
Monday, February 21st, 2022 -- 8:08 AM
(Terry Bell, WRN) Tommy Thompson says he’ll announce in April if he’s going to run for governor again.
The Republican is already Wisconsin’s longest-serving governor in history, holding that office from 1987 to 2001. Most recently, he’s been acting president of the University of Wisconsin System, a post he’ll step away from in March.
The Republican primary field is already crowded with Rebecca Kleefisch, Kevin Nicholson, and Tim Ramthun.
