Loyal School District's Representatives for Badger Girls State
Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 -- 8:01 AM
Loyal students Halle, Anna and Leah will serve as the Loyal School Distric’s representatives for this summer’s Badger Girls State.
These girls are being sponsored by Loyal’s American Legion Auxiliary. The purpose of Badger Girls State is to develop leadership and pride in American citizens, educate citizens about our system of government, instill a greater understanding of American traditions, and to stimulate a desire to maintain our democratic government processes.
Halle, Anna, and Leah, along with other Wisconsin delegates, will become a fifty-first state and will function according to the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Most of each day at American Legion Auxiliary Badger Girls State will be given to the various activities of government.
Attendees “learn by doing” as they function on city, county and state levels by electing officials in the manner prescribed by regular election procedures and conducting business on those levels.
Every girl is encouraged to participate in some level of the governmental process. Students will spend a week at a University of Wisconsin campus this summer enjoying their experience at Badger Girls State.
