Explosion Believed to be the Cause of House Fire in Wood County

-Fire crews think an explosion was the cause of a fire in Wood County.

According to the Town of Rome Fire Department, they received a call of a fire at a home on the Winding Trail in Saratoga at about 6:45pm Monday evening.

No one was home at the time of the fire and because of the remote location, crews had to move vehicles in order for the fire to be suppressed properly. Numerous agencies responded to the fire and no injuries have been reported from the fire.
