Marshfield Woman Reports Potential Scam

A Marshfield woman stated she may have fallen for a scam.

According to the Marshfield Police Department, she stated she received a call from an individual requesting money for the "policeman's association" and provided the individual her credit card information and authorized $30 to be donated. She stated after the phone call she thought it was possibly a scam and attempted to call back the number but it was not a valid phone number.

She also stated she is not out any money at this time according to her bank information and that she was going to call the bank to have them freeze her account. No further action taken.
