Man Involved in Wood County Stabbing Appears in Court

A man involved in a stabbing in Wood County appeared in court on Wednesday.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, at 12:01am Saturday, January 1st, they responded to a man walking down the road who had been stabbed. The man was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

Authorities responded to the scene where the incident occured and, after a short standoff, they were able to arrest the suspect involved, 64-year-old David Kelm.

During his preliminary hearing, probable cause was found, so his court proceedings will continue. He also pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He remains in prison on a $500,000 cash bond.
