Clark County Snowmobile Trails Open, But Some Closures/Partial Closures in Effect
Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 -- 1:01 PM
All Clark County Snowmobile and Winter ATV Trails located on private and public lands are open, but there are some full and partial closures effective today.
Full trail closures include those maintained by the Neillsville/Granton Trailbusters. Also, GWR Riders trails are closed east of County Highway M. The Thorp Sno Raiders’ trails are still closed, except corridor trail 27 will remain open.
Some partial trail closures include the Curtiss Boomtown Sno Chasers’ Trail O. Also, the Loyal Sno Angels’ corridor trail 20 between intersection 74 & 76. And Clark County Trail between Snyder County Park and intersection 9A. That portion is closed for the season.
Please reference the Clark County Snowmobile Map for further clarification on exact location of trail closures. Riders can expect early riding conditions, which includes icy patches, thin base, and rough agricultural fields. Riders are reminded to use caution when riding.
There are several areas where logging operations are taking place. Trucks will be hauling on forest roads and snowmobile trails. Some snowmobile trails are plowed. Please slow down, yield to logging equipment, and use caution.
Please note that UTV’s are not allowed on the Clark County Trails system during the winter months, which is November 1st-May 14th. Clark County Trails are subject to periodic closures.
For updates on recent closures and/or openings please contact the Forestry and Parks Department at 715-743-5140 or visit the county website at clarkcountywi.gov for more information on the trail system.
