Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Machinery Fire

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a piece of logging machinery on fire Thursday morning.

According to Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer, around 10:30am Thursday morning, they responded to a logging wood processor on fire a quarter of a mile east of Bachelor’s Avenue on Sand Road in the Township of Hewitt. When they arrived, the machinery was fully engulfed in flames.

They were on scene for over an hour and had no injuries on their part. The machinery is considered a total loss.
