Clark County Health Department Awards Public Health Distinguished Service Award

The Clark County Health Department and Board of Health presented Gary Janssen, MD with a Public Health Distinguished Service Award during the January 25th Board of Health meeting.

For the past 30 years, Dr. Janssen has been an active Board of Health member as well as the Health Department’s Medical Advisor. He has dedicated countless hours in advocating for improved health outcomes for the residents of Clark County.

His commitment, leadership, and support of Public Health has been at the forefront of his tenure. “Dr. Janssen is truly an asset to Clark County, both as a physician and a public health leader. We are grateful for his devotion to the Health Department,” states Brittany Mews, Health Officer/Director.

Dr. Janssen graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He has been practicing family medicine for over 49 years, with several of those years employed at the Marshfield Clinic Greenwood Center.
