A Humbird man was sentenced for a two vehicle accident that resulted in the deaths of two Neillsville women in Clark County Court on Tuesday.
Back in December of 2017, Trenton Bemis was driving in the Town of Pine Valley after bowling with friends that night. His truck crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle killing two Neillsville women.
The women, both single mothers, were 29-year-old Michelle Kunze and 35-year-old Genie Carrillo. Arresting officers said Bemis’ BAC was 4 times the legal limit at the time of the crash.
Bemis was sentenced to two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.
