Wood County Sheriff's Department Investigation Shooting in Port Edwards

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in Port Edwards.

According to the report, authorities received a report yesterday of a 19-year-old female who was shot in the upper arm inside her residence on January 15th. The victim was treated and released. Investigators believe she was shot multiple times with a small caliber firearm from the roadway.

Authorities believe this was a random act and are asking individuals in the Nessa Lane in the Town of Port Edwards, where the incident occured, to check their security cameras or video doorbells for suspicious activity.
