High Speed Chase in Marshfield Early Saturday Morning

A high speed chase occurred in Marshfield during the early morning hours on Saturday.

According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, a traffic stop was attempted on a vehicle near North Central Avenue and Arnold Street. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and had no headlights or taillights on. The vehicle didn’t stop and a high speed chase ensued.

Eventually, officers were able to stop and arrest the 19-year-old driver. A charge of fleeing an officer is being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
