Waukesha County Judge Rules Against Use of Absentee Ballot Drop Boxes
Monday, January 24th, 2022 -- 4:00 PM
(Bob Hague, WRN) A Waukesha County Judge has ruled that absentee ballot drop boxes will not be allowed in the February 15 primary.
Judge Michael Bohren’s ruling on Friday came despite testimony from the Wisconsin Elections Commission that absentee ballots have likely already been sent out.
Bohren refused to delay his earlier ruling that absentee ballots may only be sent through the mail, or returned by voters in person at clerk’s offices. An appeal was expected to be filed immediately.
