Marathon County Health Department Has New COVID-19 Information Line
Thursday, January 20th, 2022 -- 12:01 PM
(Bob Hague, WRN) Marathon County Health Department information officer Aaron Ruff says new COVID-19 information hotline marks a new approach to getting out information, as the recent surge in cases has made it difficult to keep up with questions.
“And we’re encouraging the public to contact us on this new COVID-19 research line, with questions about isolation, quarantine, testing or vaccination. And so we’re at a point where if you have questions, we want you to call us and we can help you through those situations.”
He continued, “We’ve always had a resource line available to the public. I think now we’re pushing it quite a bit harder, because we’ve seen such an increase in COVID cases over the past two weeks. The surge has really affected our ability to call people and effectively contact trace.”
Ruff says they will continue to send letters to people who test positive, and those who do are encouraged to self-isolate immediately. The hotline is staffed from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and can be reached by calling 715-261-19-99.
