(Raymond Neupert, WRN) Members of the Wisconsin National Guard are being tasked to help take care of patients after they recover from COVID.
Members of the Wisconsin National Guard are being tasked to help take care of patients after they recover from COVID. Governor Tony Evers says special training will be involved.
"We will be partnering with Madison College to help train members of the Wisconsin National Guard as certified nursing assistants to bring staffing relief to Wisconsin's care facilities."
The state's nursing homes and long-term care centers have been struggling to keep up with patients being discharged from the primary treatment of COVID, meaning that the state's hospitals have remained full.
