Wisconsin Department of Corrections is Halting All Visits to Adult Prison Residents

(Raymond Neupert, WRN) -The Department of Corrections is halting all visits to adult prison residents.

Secretary Kevin Carr says a sharp jump in COVID-19 cases due to the omicron variant is warranting the closure. The D O C will also be stepping up their rapid testing capabilities.

Many criminal cases are already being delayed because defendants are unable to leave quarantine. The closure will not be applied to medical personal or religious services.
