(Raymond Neupert, WRN) A newly discovered exploit in the Java programming platform means you need to get your business's programs updated.
Madison College security expert Mike Masino says a common part of many Java programs was exploited to run programs without authorization. "Going to be running as Java so you're going to kind of bypass all the normal security defenses that you would have there."
Masino says most home users aren't going to have a problem with this, unless they're running Minecraft and haven't patched their systems. "This particular logging functionality could be built into any Java application."
If your business has custom Java programs or if your website has applications written in Java, consult your IT department or a security professional to see if this bug has been fixed.
