Health Officials Urge Residents Not to go to ER for COVID Tests

(Terry Bell, WRN) Health officials are urging the public not to go to emergency rooms to get coronavirus tests.
Public health officials there are designated places to get a COVID-19 test, and the emergency room is not one of them. Jamie Lucas is Executive Director of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals.
She says people are clogging an already overloaded healthcare system when they use the E-R for tests. Hospitals in Wisconsin are struggling with staff shortages and burn-out as coronavirus cases are on the rise again.
