Wisconsin's November Egg Production

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Wisconsin egg production during November was 180 million eggs, down five percent from last year and one percent lower than the previous month.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, that's according to the latest USDA Chickens and Eggs report, the average number of all layers on hand was 7.26 million.
That's an eight percent decrease from the same time in 2020, but up two percent from this past October. Eggs per 100 layers for November were 2,476, up four percent for the year, but three percent lower for the month.
Nationally, egg production totaled 9.37 billion, up slightly from last year. The average number of layers totaled 392 million, up one percent from 2020. Rate of lay per day on December 1 averaged 79.8 eggs per 100 layers, which was off slightly from last December.
