Thursday, March 2nd, 2006 -- 10:57 AM
The company that hopes to reopen the Arpin Dairy is getting some help from the Wood County board. The Board this week unanimously agreed to loan Prestige Milk Proteins LLC $250,000 to buy equipment for the plant's operations. The money is part of a revolving loan fund to assist with economic development. Under the loan agreement, Prestige Milk Proteins agrees to create at least 133 new full-time jobs ? many by 2009. Three companies ? American Casein, American Custom Drying and Prestige Proteins ? have teamed up to reopen the facility. The County?s loan is in addition to a $850,000 state and federal loan package.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
