(Terry Bell, WRN) Most people in Wisconsin will have to wait for the new pills that treat the coronavirus.
State health officials say supplies of Pfizer and Merck’s new medication are limited, and will be sent to the most vulnerable and hard-hit communities first. In the meantime, the Department of Health Services says people need to get vaccinated and get boosted.
Deputy state health secretary Deb Standridge says that’s the best way to protect yourself.
