Wausau Doctor Discusses Vaccinations and Natural Immunity
Monday, December 27th, 2021 -- 11:00 AM
(Bob Hague, WRN) As hospitals across Wisconsin are flooded with unvaccinated COVID-19 patients, a doctor with Aspirus Hospital Wausau says your chance of dying from a COVID vaccination is very remote.
“I have never seen anyone die from a vaccine related complication. I’ve not even really heard of one outside of rare case reports. And I see people die of COVID every single day at this hospital. Natural immunity is great for Mono. People don’t die from mononucleosis, the immunity lasts a long time. But it’s not good for influenza, it mutates too fast. For COVID, natural immunity is not an effective or wise strategy.”
Dr. Clements says you shouldn’t count on a previous COVID infection to keep you from getting it again.
