Wisconsin Senator Says Expect Build Back Better Bill to Come to the Senate

Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 -- 9:00 AM

(Bob Hague, WRN) The U.S. Senate may still hold a vote, on President Joe Biden’s two trillion dollar Build Back Better bill.

Among other things, Build Back Better would overhaul tax laws. Wisconsin Democrat Tammy Baldwin was a strong supporter. “Making costs lower and taxes lower for working families, and making the rich and profitable corporations pay their fair share in taxes.”

West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin announced he would not support the bill that would have provided significant benefits to his state, which ranks close to the bottom in health and income measures.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer vows to hold a vote early next year, to put every Senator on record.
