BUSY NIGHT FOR NEILLSVILLE F.D.

The Neillsville fire department had a busy Friday evening. At 5:51 p.m., the crew was dispatched to an accident three miles south of Neillsville on Hwy 95. Fire Chief Matt Meyer said the crew used the Jaws of Life to remove two of the vehicle?s occupants. Both were airlifted to St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield. Their conditions are not known, and no further information was made available Friday night.At about the time the crew was finishing up at the accident scene, they were called to a barn fire on Dyer Avenue in the Town of Levis. The crew spent about 2 hours on the scene and received mutual aid from Granton?s Fire Department. While no people were injured, Meyer says a goat, two sheep and a lamb perished in the blaze.
