(Terry Bell, WRN) Pick ‘n Save is eliminating some COVID-19 benefits for unvaccinated employees.
Parent company Kroger is pushing to get more workers vaccinated over concerns about the omicron variant. Kroger will stop providing unpaid COVID leave for unvaccinated employees after the first of the year.
It will set a 50-dollar-a-month surcharge to non-union salaried workers who haven't had the shots. A Kroger spokesperson says they’re "modifying polices to encourage safe behaviors, including vaccination."
