Funeral Services for Longtime Clark County Farmer to be Held on Friday

Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 -- 12:01 PM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Funeral services will be held near Marshfield on Friday for longtime Clark County dairy farmer Jerry Meissner, who passed away on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer. He was 67.

According to Meissner farmed his entire life with his father and brothers at Norm-E-Lane Farms in Chili. He also served as an auctioneer with Landini Realty & Auction Service for many years and lent his bid calling talents to hundreds of charity events through the years, including the National Farm Medicine Center's Auction of Champions fundraiser and CureSearch for children's cancer research.

Jerry became involved with the Dairy Business Association from its inception in 2000, and served as board president of the group from 2007-2015. He also served as an officer of the DBA's milk marketing cooperative called Edge.

In addition, he was a board member for the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, House of the Dove and Marshfield's Hope Lodge. A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville on December 17 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at RiverEdge Golf Course.
