(Bob Hague, WRN) At the Capitol, legislation advances to ban teaching critical race theory on Wisconsin college campuses.
The Assembly Colleges and Universities Committee on Wednesday approved Republican authored legislation that proppants say would prohibit teaching critical race theory on UW and technical college system campuses.
Assembly Bill 413 would also prohibit race and sex stereotyping in training provided to employees in both systems. A bill that would impose similar restrictions on K-12 schools cleared the Assembly on a partisan 60-38 vote in September.
Both measures would face likely vetoes by Democratic Governor Tony Evers should they reach his desk.
