Friday, February 17th, 2006 -- 10:58 AM
We are jumping from the frying pan into the freezer. After a good old-fashioned winter storm socked the state Thursday with between six- to twelve-inches of new snow, our listening area now finds itself dealing with the coldest air of the winter.
The National Weather Service in La Crosse issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Friday afternoon and a Wind Chill Warning for Friday night through Saturday morning.
Nightime lows expected to fall to around twenty-below with wind chills as low as 45-below.
