Wisconsin DNR Investigating Elk Killed During Opening Weekend of Gun-Deer Season

(Terry Bell, WRN) An elk was killed during opening weekend of the gun-deer season.

It happened in Columbia County. Department of Natural Resources wardens say they’re looking for who did it. It’s illegal to kill an elk outside of elk season.

Whoever pulled the trigger will be fined, and could face misdemeanor criminal charges.
