Wisconsin's 9 Day Gun Deer Season Opens Saturday
Thursday, November 18th, 2021 -- 9:33 AM
Wisconsin's nine-day gun-deer season opens on Saturday, and state wildlife officials are enthusiastic about the prospects for 2021. DNR Wildlife Management Bureau Director Eric Lobner says bonus antlerless harvest authorizations remain available in many counties and may be filled with any weapon type, but must be filled in the zone, county and land type designated on each harvest authorization.
Licenses may be purchased through Go Wild, the DNR's online license and registration portal, or at any of the more than 1,000 license sales agent locations. As a reminder, most DNR service centers remain temporarily closed to the public.
All harvested deer must be registered electronically by 5 p.m. the day after the deer is recovered.
The gun-deer season ends on November 28.
