Wisconsin's Alice in Dairyland is already thinking about the holidays. Julia Nunes announced she will be cutting down the state's first official Christmas tree of the holiday season at Hann's Christmas Tree Farm near Oregon on November 27.
According to WisconsinAgConnection, the ceremony, which is part of the build up for Dane County to host the 2022 Alice in Dairyland finals, will also feature remarks from Greg Hann of the Wisconsin Christmas Tree Producers Association.
Wisconsin is the nation's fifth-largest Christmas tree producer, with an annual harvest of more than 600,000 trees valued at more than $16 million.
