Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Report of Gas Odor

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a couple calls on Wednesday.
The first call came in around 4:56pm. They received a report of a gas odor at 541 Hewett Street. The owner stated they had smelt gas. The Department used their gas meter, but were unable to detect the smell of gas or a leak of any kind.
They were on scene for 15 minutes, there was no damage, and they had no injuries. They received assistance from the Neillsville Police Department with traffic control.
The second call came in around 6:49pm. They received a call to provide mutual aid to the Greenwood Fire Department in order to help with a garage fire at W8976 Center Road. However, they were cancelled in route.
