Coronavirus Numbers for December 5th

-For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,288 positive cases.  Of those, 310 are currently active and 167 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 44 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 4,549 positive cases.  Wood has had 32 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 404,555 positive cases (an increase of 4,847 over the previous day) and 3,625 deaths, an increase of 63 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 17,943, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 5,051 positive, Eau Claire has seen 8,039 positive, Jackson has seen 1,796 positive, Marathon has seen 10,109 positive and Taylor has seen 1,274 positive.

Marathon has had 130 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 59 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 53 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 10 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 5 people die from the virus.
