About 67 percent of the corn for grain was harvested as of this past weekend. That's a day ahead of last year and nearly two weeks better than the five-year average. Moisture content was reported at 18 percent.
The soybean harvest is nearing the finish line as 93 percent of that crop is now done. Winter wheat was 92 percent emerged and rated 80 percent good to excellent. And fall tillage was 61 percent complete, about three days ahead of last year and 12 days ahead of normal for early November.
