One plane crashed and burned and another landed safely after colliding in the air Sunday in southeastern Wisconsin.Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory says the multiengine, fixed wing cargo planes collided seven miles west of Juneau in Jefferson County.
One plane landed safely, but the other crashed and burned in a field at State Highway 19 and County Truck Q in Jefferson County. The three people aboard the plane died.
The planes departed Milwaukee together, were flying together and had the same owner. The planes are owned by Milwaukee-based Air Cargo Carrier, Cory says.
