Leia is this week's Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by Badger Animal Clinic and Courteous Canine in Black River Falls.

Name: Leia

Age: 7-Months-Old

Breed: Pit Mix

Meet Leia, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Leia is estimated to be a Pit mix that originally came up to CCHS from Texas. She was adopted as a puppy but returned due to her prey drive towards chickens. Because she likes to hunt small critters, she may not be good with cats.

She has not been exposed to them so that is not known for sure. With people, Leia is happy and lovable. Like most dogs, she loves to go for walks. She is playful and would be a lap dog if you let her. She'll snuggle when tired and is always up to meet a new human friend.

Leia has lived with another dog and did very well with him.  She is 7 months old and weighs 34#. Apply for Leia today!  Adoption applications can be submitted through our website:  www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt.

CCHS is open again!  We have reopened during our regular hours of 12-3 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  Adoptions are still being done by appointment, but we are again welcoming visitors and volunteers.
