Clark County Man Sentenced For Child Assault

A Clark County man was sentenced for sexual assault of a child.

According to court records, Luis Villanueva Romero was accused of sexually assaulting a young girl. The girl was as young as 10 when some of the attacks occurred. Romero was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, 2nd degree sexual assault of a child.

Two other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision.
