Augusta Man Arrested After Pursuit In City

An Augusta man was arrested after fleeing an officer last weekend.
According to the Augusta Police Department, around 10pm on Sunday, they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 30-year-old David Schick in the 500 block of Colfax Street for traffic violations. Schick fled from officers and ignored multiple stop signs and speed limits.
Eventually, his vehicle stopped in a driveway at 119 W. Grant Street. Schick initially ignored officers, but was eventually taken into custody. He’s facing charges of fleeing an officer, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bail jumping, and several traffic violations.
