(Terry Bell, WRN) State lawmakers want 25-percent of the food grown in Wisconsin, to be sold out of the country.
The legislature’s Joint Finance Committee is telling the Agriculture Department to come-up with a plan to increase agricultural exports by 2025. State Representative Tony Kurtz says Wisconsin only exports about three-percent of its ag products, which amount to 105 billion-dollars’ worth.
Wisconsin dairy groups in particular support the new export push.
