(Bob Hague, WRN) COVID-19 cases and related deaths in Wisconsin are occurring at rates not seen since early in the year.
Health Services Secretary-designee Karen Timberlake addressed the pandemic status during a Wednesday panel discussion sponsored by WisPolitics.com.
“We’re identifying more than two-thousand new cases of COVID every single day. We’re in a place where we have more than 100 people hospitalized across our state with COVID today. We have more than eleven-hundred people hospitalized across our state today. We have lost a hundred people in the state of Wisconsin to COVID since October 1st.”
That includes 40 deaths recorded Monday and another 25 recorded Tuesday. Numbers that high have not been seen since the first two months of this year, before vaccines became widely available.
