Three Vehicle Crash in Wood County

Two people were transported to the hospital after an accident in the Township of Hansen in Wood County Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, on Tuesday, October 5th, around 4:17pm, they received a report of a three vehicle crash on State Highway 186 north of Grant Road in the Township of Hansen.
An initial investigation determined that two vehicles traveling north were stopped for a school bus on Highway 186. A third vehicle, also traveling north, struck the two vehicles that were stopped.
The operator of the striking vehicle was airlifted by Spirit Medical Transport and the operator of one of the other vehicles was transported by Pittsville Ambulance Service. Both were taken to Marshfield Medical Center.
The individuals involved included 30-year-old Laura Selig of Pueblo West, Colorado, 34-year-old Rachel Schmuhl of Arpin, and 19-year-old Gavin Tallman Christianson of Arpin.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department received assistance from the Vesper Fire Department, Pittsville Fire Department, and Spirit Medical Transport.
