City of Marshfield to Discuss Rate Increase in Shared Ride Taxi Service Fare
Thursday, October 7th, 2021 -- 11:00 AM
Beginning January 1st of next year, the City of Marshfield is proposing an increase in shared ride taxi service fare.
There will be a $.15 increase for senior/disabled/students, which will make the total $3 per ride. Currently the rate is $2.85. This change in the rate will be discussed by the Common Council at their regular meeting on October 26th of this year meeting at City Hall.
Citizens will have a chance to speak to the Common Council in favor or opposition during the citizen comment period, which takes place at the beginning of the meeting.
Please note, the October 26th meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., because of a special budget meeting planned at 5 p.m. on that day. Comments can also be sent to the Mayor’s Office addressed to Amy Krogman, Administrative Specialist/HR Assistant, Mayor’s Office, 207 W. 6th St., Marshfield, WI 54449.
The regular fare for the taxi service fare is $5 per ride for both adults and students. No increase to that rate is being proposed at this time. The City's contract for the taxi service service is Running Inc.
